Berkongsi kisah tentang perjalanan sukar menghafal Quran.
Its happen when I am about to end surah Fath. Mula masa masuk surah Fath, semangat tu tinggi berkobar, I read somewhere that this is one easy surah, and indeed its one easy surah. I can memorise it easily and the words flow from one ayah to another. Alhamdullillah. But somehow along the road, it getting harder or maybe it was me yang take it light so tak banyak mengulang, confident lebih. And i left this surah with shaky recitation to enter Surah Muhammad. Surah Muhammad is not an easy surah in my opinion. If surah Fath ended with mad asli, this surah mostly ended with either hum or kum. So irama dia agak berbeza. Yes i depend a lot on the recitation melody to memorise, imo those ayat ending with mad arid lilsukun will rhyme better. Surah Qamar which all ended with ra sukun is also one of the harder surah for me to recall. So again, I finished surah Muhammad with shaky memorisation. But then, Ramadan approached and we had a month break, and my mission was to polish the surahs that was infirm in memorisation.
Alhamdullillah, after Ramadan ended I was feeling a bit fresh and Surah Ahqaf was good. Alhamdullillah. Jaasthiyah and Dukhan is also good, then starting from entering Zukhruf, Shuraa, and Fussilat, I happened to make lots of silly harakat mistakes. Which later on discouraging me on my hifdh. At that moment, not only that I putting my hidfh on hold, but I also shorten my Qiyam by reading shorter and easy surah. Subhanallah. Takut nk baca surah panjang2 sebab takut buat kesilapan dalam harakat. Subhanallah.. I start to think: what goes wrong. And I believe maybe this is due to my sins, just like the famous Imam Shafiee's advised from his Waqi-
Knowledge is a light which Allah throws into the heart and disobedience extinguishes this light. Imam Shafi’ee (rahimahullah) said: “I complained to Wakee’ about the weakness of my memory, so he ordered me to abandon disobedience. And informed me that the knowledge is light. And that the light of Allah is not given to the disobedient. “
I seek forgiveness from Allah swt to all my previous sins and any shortcoming that I did without me realise it. I believed i really need to take care of my eyes. Mata yang digunakan untuk melihat Al-Quran tidak sepatutnya dicemari dengan melihat perkara yang terlarang. No, I dont watch tv nor clips in youtubes, cuma tu bila pergi ke mall secara tak disedari, kita ni tak menjaga mata dari melihat orang sekeliling. Astaghfirullah...
May Allah forgive me for my ignorance and also for all my shortcoming. Aameen.
Somehow, Alhamdullillah, semangat nak menghafal, meneruskan perjalanan ini tidak luntur. There's few advised from my Teacher and I take that advises, seriously.
1. Choose mushaf with translation so that you know what you're reading.
Ok, ni ada beberapa pendapat. I'm using my current mushaf sebab I read somewhere that let the mushaf dalam huruf arabic sahaja tidak ada translation so that your mind can be focus on the ayat that you want to memorise.
Alhamdullillah, I love my mushaf so much. Dari cantik baru kini dah agak lunyai. terutama nya pada bahagian yang kerap dibaca.
Pencarian mushaf with translation ni tidak mudah. Pertama, font mushaf madinah that I used is normally is not the same with most of Quran with translation (bahasa melayu). And when I found one, harga dia boleh tahan jugak for sz A5. So I decided takpe la, sambil menghafal, sambil baca translation from The Quran - MAS Abd Halim.
I totally dah lupa pasal Quran with translation ni until recently ada mycybersale. Mula nak beli only the book that I've been looking for, and gatal pergi browse the web, terserempak dengan Quran terbitan Telaga Biru and when I checked the inside, font and position ayat semua sama with my current Mushaf Madinah. So sebab ada sale, I decided to purchase it.
I know, mushaf ni jangan ditukar-tukar. Pakai satu sampai khatam hafal. But well, let me give a try 1st, jika ok Alhamdullillah, if not we sticked to the old one. Ok.
