How to Focus - breathing matter

Bismillah..

And so I wake up in the beautiful raining Sunday morning, and found myself reading this beneficial article - How to Master the Art of Focus and Concentration From a Legendary Japanese Archer.

Ma shaa Allah, and it get me related to what I am doing now - memorising the Quran. Somehow the article is very-very true, especially when you wanted to recite what you have memorised to others, ie. your teacher- if I am in the state that my mind is not in peace and my breathing is not calm, its hard for me to remember or to be in flow of what I want to recite. I will be stumble, forgetting or mistaking continuing to other ayah. Subhanallah..

I like to show an example of this two reciters:
dont get me wrong for pointing which is good and which is not. Both are best memoriser of the Quran, they are basically in the same par as both are representing their country for this competition. Only that the first reciter (who managed to get 3rd place in this competition) are more calm and relaxed compared to the other one. I assure that if the second reciter is relaxed and calm, she'll nail this too.

"The more one concentrates on breathing, the more the external stimuli fade into the background.” Therein lies the secret to mastering the art of focus and concentration. The more relaxed the state of our mind and body, the more likely we’ll stay focused, avoid distractions and achieve our goals in the process. It’s so simple, yet so profound.

I hope this article give you useful insight like it did to me.
Thanks for reading.
Salam alaik.
